I have mentioned to you all that Summertime is a very chill experience around here. I like making things as chill as I can for the girls and myself, and that includes meals and snacks.
During the school year we are pretty organized and structured, because it keeps us on task. This time of year, though, I’m all about independence. I try to keep lots of drinks and snacks around for when they’re in the mood. Lots of hot dogs, cheese cubes and turkey hanging around in our fridge. This is because these are things they can get for themselves.
That’s a big reason I love the Sprout Organic Foods pouches for Piper. She can grab these when she wants them and is a huge fan. It’s nice because they’re healthy and nutritious while also being easy.
Piper, who is a huge chip person in general also really loves the White Cheddar Curlz! I was a little shocked because while these are for young toddlers, she’s three and picky as can be. These are gluten free, non-GMO and they also come in broccoli, sweet potato and cinnamon varieties.
Having things on hand that the kids can grab on their own is one way I am trying to help my kids become more independent. It’s is a sanity saver for busy work days and it makes Piper feel like a big girl too.
Another thing I love about the Sprout pouches is that there is a lot more to them than fruity flavors. In the Kiwi/Banana one, there is also spinach, which Piper is clueless about. She is getting a wide range of nutrients, and the veggies are hidden. She wasn’t as much of a fan of the Pumpkin Apple Red Lentil flavor but, every kid is different. Yours may love it!
These are definitely going on my must-buy list from here on out!
