Today’s strawberry smoothie recipe is sponsored by OLLY Nutrition. All opinions are my own. #SmoothieStyle
I’ve talked before about Piper’s picky eating problems. We have a terrible time getting her to eat. The funny thing about her, though, is that she will eat things most toddlers wouldn’t even step near- like sushi, but regular foods like chicken nuggets or Pb & J are big old nopes. This is why I am always so thrilled when I find things she will drink, like this strawberry smoothie. It’s yummy for her and with help from OLLY, it’s nutritionally sound.
These shakes have given us a break from our instant breakfast drinks we’ve come to rely on. The cool thing about them, is that you can serve them as is- with 8 oz. of water or you can add the smoothie protein powder to a shake recipe, like I did for this post!
What you’ll need:
- handful of strawberries
- 1/2 cup vanilla greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 scoops OLLY smoothie protein powder
- ice if you prefer
So, all you’re going to do is combine all of your ingredients into a blender and combine them well. Pour it into a glass and you have a quick, easy and nutritious breakfast for your pickiest eater!
While this particular smoothie is made with the OLLY smoothie powder specifically designed for kids, they also have a couple other mixes for adults too. I used the chocolate one as a midday protein boost by adding a little bit of peanut butter and greek yogurt to it.
I love that they can be added to water or your favorite smoothie recipe. Plus the added bonus of finding something Piper will eat without protest is great in my book.
