As a kid, Box Tops and pop tabs were something I loved to collect. I didn’t really understand why I was collecting them but I thought it was the best thing ever. Now, as a parent, I love that Box Tops are helpful to our community schools. While I don’t send my kids to public school, we still participate.
This year- my cousin and I have decided to lead a Girl Scout troop. We are having our girls collect Box Tops for the school where we have our meetings as kind of a thank you for allowing us to use the school for meetings. Plus, it will give the girls some purpose and feeling like they are doing good for their community. Which is kind of the whole point of scouts anyway!
We see all of these posts on social media about how funding is low for schools, teachers are having to buy their own supplies for their classrooms etc. Parents are being asked to contribute to their kids classroom essentials and in a nutshell, schools can use all the help they can get.
So why not do what you can to help your local school, whether you’ve got kids there or not, with the items you are already buying at the store?!
All it takes is heading to your local Walmart, finding the Kleenex aisle and stocking up! Clip the double box tops, and send them to your local school. It doesn’t take much to contribute. Things like Viva or Scott paper towels also have the double Box Tops! It’s super easy to participate.
Tell me below, are you a Box Tops collector? How do you give back to your community school?
