I have always been a planner. Always tried to schedule my days down to the minute. This incessant need to plan has definitely carried over into my parenting experience too. This year, Jake and I have done a lot more talking about the financial aspects of the future for our girls, along with making decisions like life insurance, and living wills. These topics can be really stressful, but planning now can definitely be well worth it when it’s time to send our girls off on their own.
Recently, I was introduced to Voya. Voya helps Americans ready themselves and their families for retirement! At 26, this isn’t something we have spent much time thinking about, but it should be.
Voya’s mission is to ensure that parents know it’s never too early to start planning for their children’s future. Their mission: Born to Save is an easy way to start a retirement fund for your baby!
An even cooler aspect if their initiative is that for any baby born on October 19th 2015, Voya has set aside $500 for them to put toward their retirement. Was your baby born on October 19th? Make sure you register here!
How will you help plan ahead for your kids? Would you use Voya in your planning?
