I talk a lot about our homeschooling journey here. I’ve shared why we made this choice and how excited it is to be 100% involved in Addie’s education. It’s a huge blessing to be involved in your kids’ education in any capacity and I think a lot of us (including myself) take this freedom for granted.
Where we live, we have the right to an education but an estimated 31 million girls around the globe aren’t as lucky. In other parts of the world, and even here in the U.S., some girls are forced to consider other options instead of education. They have to survive and sometimes education is not the quickest means to do so. I think it’s so sad that a child would have to make the choice between feeding their mind and surviving. Children are born with an inherent need to learn and grow. So when organizations like CARE step in, they are doing a seriously great thing.
CARE is ensuring that girls don’t have to choose between bringing their family water and going to school. They are making it possible for children to get to school when one isn’t near where they live. They are making it possible for girls to get the same education their boy counterparts receive!
Organizations like this one help girls make the choice for education attainable. Education is a priceless gift that many of us take completely for granted. Education can keep these girls from poverty, bad health and give them a brighter future!
CARE gives you the option of helping make education a possibility for these girls by purchasing school supplies you were already buying. They make it easy to contribute and you can find out more on their website!
