I’m so excited to share this cute little movie night favor with you guys today! Addie is just about the biggest Tinker Bell fan to ever walk the earth and she was very excited to hear there was a new movie out! One of our favorite things to do together is to cuddle up and watch a movie together. Our movie nights almost always consist of a snack so when we bought Tinker Bell and the Legend of the Neverbeast, I thought it would be fun to add a little pizzazz to our snack!
I’m going to be showing you how to make this super simple Pixie Dust Popcorn and the little satchel you see pictured! It was a ton of fun to have a themed movie night and I’m sure your Tinker Bell fans would approve!
First up, what you’ll need:
- Your favorite Popcorn
- Edible Glitter dust
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- Whatever else you like on your popcorn (salt, sugar etc.)
- Lunch bag
- Green felt (or any sturdy fabric)
- Suede or leather cord
- A medium sized bowl
- A pen
I made the satchel first! It’s super simple. Just take your felt, lay it flat and trace the shape of your bowl on top. Cut that out and use a hole punch or scissors to create holes all along the outside of the circle. (mine are triangles because…scissors…haha) Next, you’re just going to thread (under, over) your suede cord through the holes and pull tight. Depending on the size of your bowl, you could have a perfect kiddo sized satchel, or a bigger one. Our’s was the perfect size for a little snack.
After you make that, set it to the side. Pop your popcorn in the microwave. After that, melt your butter. Put the popcorn in your lunch sack and drizzle the butter on top. Shake it like crazy to coat the popcorn nicely. Set it to the side. If you want sugar or salt added to your popcorn, mix it with the edible glitter really well so that everything evenly distributes. Pour the mixture into the lunch bag and shake again!
Fill your little satchel with your Pixie Dust Popcorn and enjoy! Addie though this snack was a hoot and just loved it! We also grabbed her a cute Tinker Bell bath toy and she’s in love! I hope your kids will as well! You can find the new DVD at your local Walmart in the electronics section and check out the Tinker Bell toys in the toy section!
Tell me below, what is your favorite movie night snack? Are your kiddos fans of Tinker Bell’s adventures?
