Hey guys! Today, I wanted to share with you the most effective and fool-proof way to make hard boiled eggs. (In my non-expert opinion) For some reason, before I realized how easy they were, hard boiled eggs totally intimidated me, so I figure there has to be someone out there who could use some help. Plus, egg dying season is upon us! Not only is this easy to do, there’s also a step that will ensure that you’re yolks don’t turn a gross green color after boiling. So, stay tuned.
First, what you’ll need:
- Medium pot of water
- Medium bowl (for ice bath)
Put your water on and once it’s boiling, gently put your eggs in. I always use tongs because it keeps them from slipping and cracking on the bottom of the pot. Let them boil for 15 minutes. While they boil, make an ice bath. All you need to do for this is take a big mixing bowl, and add a ton of ice and cold water. Once the eggs are done boiling, transfer them straight from the hot water to the ice bath. Let them sit in the bath for 15 minutes. After that, your eggs are ready to peel and munch on!
