I hope you all had a great weekend! We have been battling the crud. So far Jake is the only one who’s caught the bug and thankfully there is no fever or flu symptoms involved so far but I am bound and determined to keep the girls from getting sick. About six months ago, Piper had her first cold. It lasted about two weeks but once it was gone, so was her sleep schedule and if you have been around here for any amount of time lately, you know that we worked for 6 months to get her back on track. So you can probably imagine my panic at the thought of her getting sick again now, when she has just started sleeping well again.
All of that to say, over the weekend I have done everything I can to try and banish the germs coming from Jake’s face to keep the girls from getting sick and while doing so, I decided to make some DIY disinfectant wipes to use throughout the day. These are super simple and quick to make. Some people make reusable ones out of wash cloths and some use different ingredients that I did for these. You can add whatever you want to yours!
What you’ll need:
- Empty & santitized wipes container (or something that can close)
- 1 Cup of water
- 1/4 Cup of rubbing alcohol
- 2 Tablespoons Dawn dish soap
- 15 Sturdy paper towels (I used Viva paper towels because they are super tough)
