So in an effort to make some changes this year, I decided to really start cooking. I have always cooked dinner for my family, unless Jake was doing it…but we always ate the same old stuff. So I challenged myself to cook something new most nights of the week. I have had some success, and plan to share more recipes here with you.
Today I thought I would start with something super easy but not lacking in the yum area of things.
I found a recipe for Chicken+Bacon+Ranch pockets and made them for Jake when he got home from work one night. I adapted it though, because no way am I spending a ton of time making food at 5 AM. (sorry babe)
How we made it:
- 1 can of crescent rolls
- left over rotisserie chicken
- turkey bacon
- mozzarella cheese
Basically, unroll the crescent rolls like you would to make normal dinner rolls. Layer on Chicken, bacon and cheese and drizzle with ranch. Jake doesn’t care for a lot of sauce so we went light there. Throw some cheese on top…because you can never ever have enough!
Cook for 15-18 minutes on 375 or until golden brown. Every oven is different, I always put things in for less time because our oven is a beast.
And voila! eat up.
We gave this recipe 3 stars. It was really good, but would have been better with real bacon instead of turkey bacon.
I think some variation of this with buffalo chicken would be amazing.
Have you ever had this? Did you like it?
